Lester Smith

Lester Smith is an educational writer and technologist by day. His free time he spends as president of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, and of Popcorn Press, a small but growing publishing house in Southern Wisconsin. Les subscribes to Salman Rushdie’s pronouncement that “A poet’s work is to name the unnamable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world, and stop it going to sleep.” Toward that end, Les promotes “Popcorn Poetry”—minimalist works that explode with meaning, and that may stick in your teeth.
